I've noticed many on this sub over others are fairly even-keeled and do not often doom OR glaze situations. So I am willing to look like an embarrassing fool and ask some folks for help who can give it to me straught, so I can try and get ontop of my mental health a little.

What's it looking like as of now? Are we thinking apocalyptic nightmares in the next 5-10 years with the whole "planet gets hotter which makes heating quicker" thing? Do we have any real time left to lead normal (within reason) lives before the climate wars start (half joking). I live in the UK and was spared much of the violent 45° European heat this summer, but I know it will probably be coming sooner than later.

So much information is contradictory that it's hard for me to follow at this point in my life. Some say X will explode and show evidence, others say X will just give off some steam, and show evidence lol. I'm lost.

Thanks to anyone who can help me cool my brain off, or at least remove the fog a little

ANSWER: My personal opinion: We are losing faster than ever before. The forces working against us are heavily funded, while the counter-movements are largely mocked and dismissed. We’re fighting with wind turbines and solar power against right-wing conservative fascists who long for the past and blame everything green for the world’s problems. It’s not all lost, but if we don’t quickly build a collective awareness around the climate justice movement and unite closely to address these challenges, our world will become increasingly chaotic.

Egoistisches Streben nach unbegrenzter Ressourcenaneignung als zentrale Triebkraft des gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Handelns brachten uns direkt hierher.

servus, die Welt scheint sich täglich ein bisschen schneller zu drehen - und das tut sie auch. exponentiell wachsende Datenfluten in einem permanenten Wettlauf um Aufmerksamkeit und Informationsverarbeitung, machen täglich ein bisschen mehr Chaos. Dass der Planet das nicht so richtig mitmachen kann, ist lange klar und wir haben 7 von 9 planetaren Grenzen bereits gerissen. Klimawandel, der Verlust von Biodiversität und die ganze Scheiße. Das wir hier auf dem Planeten leben können, weil die Klimatischen Bedingungen bisher quasi optimal waren, ist ein unglaubliches Privileg und wir sind dabei es zu verzocken.  

Nicht weit von uns toben schon Kriege und unsere Demokratie droht von den Extremen zerrissen zu werden. Auch die Gefahr die von KIs und Maschinen ausgehen, möchte man in den eigenen Komfort-Zonen nicht so richtig wahrhaben und ernst nehmen. Dabei sind wir uns längst alle einig wer an all diesen Problemen schuld ist:

 Es sind die Anderen! Und wenn es diese Gruppe der Andren gibt, dann müssen wir uns fragen: Wer sind WIR eigentlich? Und das ist eigentlich ganz einfach, Wir, Wir sind im wesentlichen Problemlöser. Wir lösen Probleme von morgens bis Abends und selbst wenn wir schlafen, lösen wir damit im besten Fall das Problem der Müdigkeit. Aber mir stellt sich folgende Frage: Wenn wir doch Problemlöser sind und die schwerwiegendsten Probleme auf dem Tisch liegen. Warum zur Hölle setzen wir uns nicht zusammen an diesen Tisch und diskutieren wie wir gemeinsam am besten diese Probleme lösen können? mach like mach abo mach kommentar. mach tabula rasa - für unsere Kinder die Zukunft!

Warum ist es wichtig, dass man diese Sachen ernst nimmt? Große Länder bereiten sich längst auf Kriege vor, um für sich Ressourcen militärisch zu sichern.
